CPM Tip of the Month: January 2020

Control Which Tab in Chrome is Playing Sound

Sometimes you have multiple websites open in multiple browser tabs when a video or audio starts playing and all of a sudden you have cacophony in your earbuds. In Chrome 79 if you have multiple tabs open and several of them are playing audio/video simultaneously you can quickly find the tab and pause it, stop it, or go to the page from the Chrome browser bar. In the Chrome toolbar look to the far right and if there are multiple audio sources an icon with a music note will appear. Click on the music note icon and a thumbnail of the websites that are playing audio/video open. You can then forward, rewind, or pause the video, stop the video, go to the webpage, or dismiss the controls.
